GRAPH is a botanical-dyed Japanese Imabari towel by Kontex, woven in Ehime, Japan from 100% organic cotton, in four sizes from a 23 × 23 cm / 9.1 × 9.1 in handkerchief to a 70 × 130 cm / 27.6 × 51.2 in bath towel. Two colours, charcoal grey and ivory.
From the towel fabric to the name tag, GRAPH is made entirely with organic materials, creating a towel that is gentle on both people and the environment.
The yarn used on the gauze side is dyed with natural plant-based dyes. The soft Charcoal Grey is dyed with bamboo charcoal, while the warm Ivory is dyed with black tea. These natural pigments give the towel a calm, subtle colour tone that blends beautifully into everyday interiors.
GRAPH is woven slowly on a vintage TOYODA loom, once known as one of Japan’s finest weaving machines. By weaving gently without placing unnecessary stress on the yarn, the towel retains the natural softness of cotton without relying on chemical softeners.
The towel is carefully washed over time with pure spring water from the Ishizuchi mountain range, water that is also highly regarded for drinking. This slow washing process allows the towel to absorb water well from the very first use.
Because the manufacturing process minimises damage to the fibres, GRAPH keeps its gentle texture longer than ordinary towels. It is a towel designed for those who care about the quality of materials, the feel of natural cotton and the quiet beauty of everyday objects.

Founded in 1934 in Imabari, Ehime (Japan's most celebrated towel-making region), Kontex has spent nearly a century perfecting the craft of the towel. Each piece is woven on traditional low-speed looms using over 150 custom-developed yarn blends, then washed with pure soft water drawn from local river systems. The result is a towel of exceptional absorbency, rapid drying, and enduring quality, crafted with care for both the user and the environment.
