Details
MOKU Light is a lightweight Imabari towel by Kontex, designed for everyday life, travel, sport, gyms and saunas. It is woven from fine cotton yarn that Kontex describes as approximately 1.5 times finer than the yarn used in conventional towels, with a smooth gauze surface on one side and absorbent pile on the other.
The thin, breathable construction dries quickly, is easy to wring out and folds down compactly, making it practical to carry and use repeatedly throughout the day.

This item ships internationally from Japan via Japan Post or FedEx.
Air Packet: $10 USD for parcels up to 1.5 kg. There is generally no compensation for loss or damage in transit. Air Packet may be unavailable depending on order value or weight. FedEx: $23 USD.
Orders are normally dispatched within 5 business days after payment confirmation. Available shipping options and estimated delivery times are confirmed at checkout.
Tracking is included. When duties and taxes apply, they are calculated, displayed, and collected at checkout (DDP).

Imabari craftsmanship
Low-speed looms
Woven in Imabari on traditional low-speed looms, from more than 150 yarn blends Kontex develops in house. Weaving slowly keeps tension off the yarn, so the fibres hold their natural loft.
Soft water finish
Finished with the pure soft water of Imabari's local river systems, the water the region's gentle dyeing and washing is known for. It is what gives the towels their absorbency.
Founded in 1934 in Imabari, Ehime (Japan's most celebrated towel-making region), Kontex has spent nearly a century perfecting the craft of the towel. Each piece is woven on traditional low-speed looms using over 150 custom-developed yarn blends, then washed with pure soft water drawn from local river systems. The result is a towel of exceptional absorbency, rapid drying, and enduring quality, crafted with care for both the user and the environment.
