Antieke Calabrische pot
ambiantA food storage container from the late 19th to the early 20th century, believed to have been made in or around Calabria, Southern Italy.
It is thought to have been used in kitchens or pantries for storing pickled olives and vegetables, oils, or grains.
Despite its simple, undecorated appearance, its deep yellowish-brown glaze and the texture of the coarse clay give it a rustic and substantial presence characteristic of folk pottery from the Calabria region.
