About Shipping

1. ABOUT SHIPPING

All orders are shipped internationally from Japan via FedEx or Japan Post, including Air Packet and EMS where available.

For towel orders shipped with FedEx, items are typically packed in a vinyl shipping bag known as a “FedEx Pak.” If you prefer box packaging, please contact us before placing your order or select a box shipping option if available at checkout.

Orders will usually be dispatched within 5 business days after payment confirmation.
*Please note that additional processing time may be required during periods of high order volume or when special packing is needed.

2. SHIPPING COST

Shipping fees are automatically calculated at checkout based on the total weight, package dimensions, destination, and selected shipping method.

Available shipping methods, including costs and estimated delivery times, will be clearly displayed before completing your purchase.

3. CUSTOMS DUTY, IMPORT TAXES, AND DELIVERY TERMS

The handling of import duties, import VAT, customs clearance fees, and local carrier charges depends on the shipping method selected at checkout.

FedEx (DDP – Delivered Duty Paid, where available)

For FedEx shipments where duties and taxes are included or prepaid, import duties and taxes are handled by us or collected at checkout in addition to the product price.

Because these fees are prepaid or covered by us, customers should not normally be charged additional duties or import taxes upon delivery.

DDP handling may vary depending on the destination country, carrier service, and order details. If DDP shipment is not available for a specific destination or order, we may contact the customer before dispatch.

Air Packet / Japan Post / EMS (DAP – Delivered at Place)

Air Packet and other Japan Post shipping methods are not shipped on a DDP basis.

For Air Packet, EMS, or other Japan Post shipments, import duties, import VAT, customs clearance fees, carrier handling fees, and any other destination-country charges are not included in the product price or shipping fee.

These charges, if applicable, are the responsibility of the customer and may be collected by the local customs authority, postal operator, or carrier upon or after delivery.

This also applies to shipments to Europe. If Air Packet is selected for a European destination, the shipment will be handled as DAP, and any import charges are the customer’s responsibility.

United States

FedEx shipments to the United States are generally handled under DDP terms where available. Import duties and taxes are prepaid or covered by us, so customers should not normally receive additional duty or import tax requests upon delivery.

If Japan Post, Air Packet, or another non-DDP shipping method is selected, any import charges assessed by local authorities or carriers are the customer’s responsibility.

Europe

For European destinations, FedEx shipments are handled under DDP terms where available.

If Air Packet, EMS, or another Japan Post shipping method is selected, the shipment is handled under DAP terms. Duties, import VAT, customs clearance fees, and local handling charges are not included and are the responsibility of the customer.

Other Countries

For destinations outside the United States and Europe, duties and taxes vary depending on local regulations.

Unless a FedEx DDP option is selected and shown as duties/taxes included, shipments are generally sent under DAP terms. Import duties, taxes, and customs-related fees are the responsibility of the customer.

4. RETURNS, REFUSED SHIPMENTS, AND CANCELLATIONS

Returns or exchanges for customer convenience are not accepted.

Returns and refunds are available only in cases of insufficient product description or clear defects. Please contact us within 2 days of receiving your order if an issue occurs.

After an order has been confirmed, cancellation requests for customer convenience may result in refusal of future orders. If a cancellation is made after payment has been completed, the refunded amount may be issued after deducting payment processing fees.

If a shipment is returned because the customer refuses delivery, does not pay import charges for a DAP shipment, provides an incorrect address, or fails to receive the parcel, the original shipping fee, return shipping fee, payment processing fees, and any unrecoverable costs may be deducted from any refund.

5. DELIVERY, RISK, AND INFORMATION

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed. Customs inspections, local postal handling, weather, holidays, or other carrier conditions may cause delays.

FedEx shipments may be delivered via doorstep delivery service depending on the destination and local delivery conditions.

Please note that we cannot compensate for theft or loss occurring after delivery has been completed. After shipment, responsibility for delivery handling lies with the carrier and the customer, and any related issues must be resolved with the carrier where applicable.
