Decorative fruit created through the traditional Italian Tuscan craft of alabaster carving. The delicately carved stone surface is hand-painted to express freshness and vitality. In the first half of the 20th century, these pieces were widely loved as interior decorations for upper-class homes and as tourist souvenirs.
