Objeto hueco de terracota adquirido en Apulia, al sur de Italia.

Conocido localmente como “Bubulo”, y “Bubuli” en plural, es un elemento constructivo tradicional de terracota utilizado en la arquitectura de Apulia.

Se empleaba principalmente en bóvedas y estructuras similares, ayudando a reducir el peso del edificio frente a la piedra o la toba, mientras que el aire contenido en su interior aportaba aislamiento.

Un objeto que conserva la atmósfera de la cultura arquitectónica de la región.
