In the south of France, Every day We drive from town to town looking for things.
This rental car is the first one I've rented from a French manufacturer I'm not familiar with.
It's also a bit bigger than the last one, so it doesn't turn very well.
And yet, for some reason, Google MAP tried to drive us only on single-lane, narrow farm roads.
I was guided to a few dead ends, and I wondered what was wrong with Google...
I wonder if the places I went to were too rural to be updated in time..,
I know I'm persistent, but it was really hot in the south of France every day, and by the time I got back to my accommodation, I was so tired that I didn't feel like eating,
I hadn't had a meal since I arrived in the South of France, but as I got closer to returning home, I thought, "This is not good enough! So, after the purchase, I decided to go to a town along the Mediterranean Sea.
Oysters are a must!
The shellfish and prawns were very tasty and I'm now exhausted.☺︎
Now it's time to go back to the inn, so of course we drive on, relying on Google MAP.
We drive along the country road, and even when we enter a narrow road where only one car can just barely pass, we continue to drive forward at a brisk pace.
This is no longer a mountain road... I'm afraid we can't go any further...
I felt uneasy and decided to turn back.
When you try to make a U-turn, the car tilts sharply to the right.
Did I break off the wheel? Did I break off the wheel?
When I opened the door, the vehicle tilted even more.
When I try to get out, I realise I have half a foothold and freeze for a moment.
When I looked at the car from behind, the left half of the body was in the air.
I was so close, I could have fallen a couple of metres down onto the animal track.
Anyway, I had to call for help.
Although it was a remote area, fortunately we had seen people enjoying leisure activities at the nearby river on the way here, so it wasn't completely unpopular.
After a while, my husband, who had gone to call for help, came back with a family who had come to play in the river
They were a couple with a sister and brother of school age and a nice complexion, and when they saw the car about to turn over, they kept saying
'Ooo la la ! They looked like heroes from the Avengers to me, shining brightly.
The strong husband gave instructions to each of them and they all worked together to rescue the car safely.
A spontaneous round of applause erupted.
I don't know if I've ever shaken hands so passionately before.
Anyway, I'm really happy.
We can go back to our lodgings.
We can continue with the purchase.
I can't thank my family enough for helping me.
The smiles on their faces as they waved us off was the most memorable part of the trip.
This summer's purchase
We can't say that we had a lot to choose from, but I think we were able to see and touch things with our own eyes and make our own selections without blurring the lines.
It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun!
