French Cork Oak Bowl

ambiant

A cork bowl found in the south of France.
Cork oak grows naturally along the Mediterranean coast and has been widely used since the time of ancient Rome.
Taking advantage of its light weight, moisture resistance, and rot-resistant properties, it is thought to have been used to hold bread, fruit, cheese, and nuts, as well as to serve fish dishes such as bouillabaisse in Provençal restaurants.
