Grottaglie, the "town of ceramics" in Puglia, is renowned for its centuries-old tradition of pottery making.
Unlike other Italian ceramic centers that focused on decorative majolica, Grottaglie specialized in "robba bianca" (white ware) and "capasoni" (large storage jars).
