Antique Albarello

ambiant

NZ$713.00

An antique albarello from Southern Italy. A quiet ceramic piece with the irregularity and presence of age.

The inside is a grayish white glaze with fine crazing, while the outside features a beautiful, eye-catching mottled pattern in the yellowish-brown glaze that is characteristic of this material.

This product has a dry texture that comes from being used for a long time in daily life, but there is also a sense of freshness to it.

Italian antique ceramics quietly bear the imprint of the land's climate and history. The rustic vessels born from the dry earth of Southern Italy, the refined designs nurtured in the North. At ambiant, we focus on introducing pieces that embody the "beauty of use"—vessels that have been used in daily life—rather than decorative beauty.
