VINTAGE WAFFLE Imabari Towel Kontex
KontexShipping
A Japanese Imabari waffle towel by Kontex, made in Japan with a cotton-linen blend, crisp texture, excellent absorbency, and quick-drying performance. Suitable as a bath towel, hand towel, face towel, or compact travel towel depending on the size.
Kontex VINTAGE WAFFLE Imabari Towel
VINTAGE WAFFLE uses an original cotton-linen yarn and a honeycomb waffle structure. The textured weave reduces surface contact with the skin, giving the towel a dry, fresh touch even after absorbing water.
The linen content adds a cool feel, while the cotton gives softness and resilience. It dries faster than ordinary pile towels, making it useful for humid seasons, indoor drying, travel, and everyday use.

Founded in 1934 in Imabari, Ehime — Japan's most celebrated towel-making region — Kontex has spent nearly a century perfecting the craft of the towel. Each piece is woven on traditional low-speed looms using over 150 custom-developed yarn blends, then washed with pure soft water drawn from local river systems. The result is a towel of exceptional absorbency, rapid drying, and enduring quality — crafted with care for both the user and the environment.
