KIYORA MOKU is a Japanese Imabari sauna and travel towel by Kontex, woven in Ehime, Japan from 80% cotton with 17% rayon and 3% polyester, in a single 33 × 100 cm / 13 × 39.4 in length. Four colours.

It keeps the familiar thin, light and long feel of the MOKU series, while adding functional yarns including silver ion, catechin and Binchotan charcoal. These yarns support antibacterial and deodorizing performance, helping reduce unpleasant odours when immediate washing is difficult.

At about 50 g, KIYORA MOKU is compact enough to carry in a bag, yet absorbent enough for sauna, bath, sport and travel. Its 33 × 100 cm length makes it easy to wrap, hang and dry quickly after use.

Low-speed looms

Woven in Imabari on traditional low-speed looms, from more than 150 yarn blends Kontex develops in house. Weaving slowly keeps tension off the yarn, so the fibres hold their natural loft.

Soft water finish

Finished with the pure soft water of Imabari's local river systems, the water the region's gentle dyeing and washing is known for. It is what gives the towels their absorbency.

Kontex

Founded in 1934 in Imabari, Ehime (Japan's most celebrated towel-making region), Kontex has spent nearly a century perfecting the craft of the towel. Each piece is woven on traditional low-speed looms using over 150 custom-developed yarn blends, then washed with pure soft water drawn from local river systems. The result is a towel of exceptional absorbency, rapid drying, and enduring quality, crafted with care for both the user and the environment.
