An antique mug from Southern Italy. A quiet ceramic piece with the irregularity and presence of age.
Though not particularly old, I was drawn to the layered yellow and green glazes, characteristic of everyday pottery from Puglia, and the design that makes a feature of the flowing glaze.
Due to a crack, liquids seep out slightly, making it less suitable for practical use.
This is a small ceramic piece to quietly enjoy the flow of the glaze and the layering of colors on a shelf or table.
